The Ensemble's vivacious and warm personalities serve them as dedicated educators, offering outreach and pre-concert lectures, in addition to informative and entertaining program notes throughout their concert performances. Mariam Adam, clarinet "Mariam Adam of Imani Winds plays with amazing versatility, yet beauty of sound" - American Record Guide Mariam Adam, a native of Monterey, California has become an internationally distinguished clarinetist and chamber musician. Chosen to be one of the last students of legendary clarinetist, Rosario Mazzeo, she developed a colorful career on the west coast: soloing with the Sacramento Symphony, Monterey County Symphony, the Eastman Music Summer Festival, toured with Monterey Jazz Festival jazz ensembles, sometimes as the drummer, in Japan and North America and received such awards such as the Hans Wildau Young Musicians Award, Sacramento Concerto Competition Winner. After moving to New York to pursue graduate studies at Manhattan School of Music, she has since performed with Chamber Music Lincoln Center, Prussia Cove Festival in England, 92nd St. Y, Rockport Music Festival, Chenango Music Festival, Carmel Bach Festival, La Jolla Music Festival, Skaneateles Festival, Chamber Music Northwest, Carnegie s Weill recital hall as well as collaborations with such artists as Paquito D'Rivera and David Shifrin. As a founding member of the Grammy-nominated woodwind quintet, Imani Winds, she has maintained an active international touring schedule performing at venues from Carnegie Hall to the Paris' La Villette. The dramatic paintings of artist Ade Frey are projected on screen during the concert, providing a visceral response to Ms. Ulex's performance of music by Modest Mussorgky's "Pictures at an Exhibition", Schumann and Villa Lobos. Inspired by the music performed by pianist Evelyn Ulex, Ade Frey created her paintings. While she listened to Evelyn Ulex highly expressive interpretations, Ade Frey made associations to the musical structure, rhythmical movements, and sound; modifying and expressing the musical colors she hears. Ade Frey, artist Ade Frey born in Schwäbisch Gmünd, in southern Germany. After her education, she moved to Berlin in 1972, where she studied Color and Interior Design at the University of arts, where she received her degree as a professional designer. After employing her interior design talent, she went on to study painting. She was a master student of the renowned Professor Herbert Kaufmann; within no time at all her works were showcased at solo exhibitions in private galleries, public institutions and art fairs. As a member of the GEDOK (Organization of German and Austrian Female Artists) she contributed with many art projects such as Berlin-Europa at the Verborgenen Museum, Tafelbilder aus den 90er Jahren at the St. Matthäus-church at Kemper Plaza, Berlin, Paper Becomes Art at the Gallery of the House of Parliament in Berlin, and Realization at the Old Town Hall in Potsdam. For a number of years Ms. Frey has been fascinated with the intangible quality of music, which inspired her to develop concepts about the relationship between music and art. The Sight and Sound project, in collaboration with pianist Evelyn Ulex, focuses mainly on Mussorgsky s Pictures at an Exhibition, which is thematically and musically uniquely suited for this coalescence of the two art forms. The Sight and Sound exhibition has been performed very successfully in many venues, such as the German Consulate General in New York City, at the German Consulate in Vancouver, at the Nikolai Hall in Potsdam, among others. Among her other artistic accomplishments is the founding of the Art studio Frey, an art school for children and teenagers in Berlin; the development of interdisciplinary art and music projects for children and teenagers, in collaboration with the violinist Peter Rainer. A Musical Construction Place project, at the Roman Baths at the Park of Sanssouci in Potsdam; and as well, A Room With Music Notes (concert-workshop for children and their parents) in collaboration with the Chamber Academy Potsdam at the Nikolai Hall in Potsdam.

After graduating she received a Konrad-Adenauer scholarship to study at the Stuttgart College of Music and at Berlins prestigious "Hanns Eisler" University of Music under Inge Uibel. Katia Guedes has gone on to win numerous prizes as a soloist and give many recitals all over the world. She performs regularly in opera productions in Brazil and Germany. He has worked in the theatre since 1962, during which time he has starred in dozens of plays and has been featured in many international and national film and television productions. At theatres he was playing leading parts at the state theatres of Munich, Vienna, Berlin and others. His film debut he made in 1970 in Michael Verhoeven is feature film O.K. . The film was the official German contribution at the International Film Festival Berlin 1970 and it is hot political expressiveness was the sensation of Berlin and killed the festival. Hartmut is performing in this film earned several prices and a great praise in the German feature articles. After O.K. Hartmut Becker was one of Germany is busiest actors in film and theatre. His first leading part in an English language production Mr. Becker performed in the BBC-film Forgive our foolish ways, where he played the role of an German prisoner of war next to Kate Nelligan. The television film became a very big success all over the world. Mr. Becker is following international film was the American-English production Jenny's War (Columbia Pictures). His partners in this film where Dyan Cannon, Elke Sommer and Trevor Howard. Evelyn Ulex, pianist Ulex played Liszt's Piano Concerto No.2, her harp-like arpeggios sweeping across the keyboard drew in the audience from the start. At the age of ten, she won the national "Festival of Young Talent" in Dresden and later received top medals in the J.S. Bach competition in Leipzig, Germany.
